Graduation Pathways – Finish High School Ahead of Your Peers
To graduate with a high school diploma in Wisconsin, students are required to complete a minimum of 23.5 credits.
High School of America offers several different programs of study to meet the needs of our diverse student body.
We also offer dual-credit courses in collaboration with selected colleges and universities, which allow students to earn college credit while still enrolled in high school.
All credits earned are transferable upon enrollment at an accredited college or university. As part of their graduation requirements, students must take three required courses: English Composition, Math, and Social Science.
Extended Graduation Plans

Credit Recovery Courses
If you missed some credits during your freshman or sophomore year of high school, High School of America offers an online credit recovery program that can help you get back on track.
Half-credit courses allow students to catch up and get back on track towards graduation.
Credit recovery courses help prepare students for college, career, and life successfully by teaching essential skills such as time management, organization, and responsible use of technology.
Our online credit recovery programs are designed for students entering high school as ninth-graders who have fallen behind. Students must complete six credits as a freshman and four credits as a sophomore to be considered for credit recovery courses.
