A Look at the State of Florid and the High School of America Online

In the state of Florida all students need to stick to a traditional graduation plan in order to earn the required credits, which generally number 24. In addition to that, students will need to maintain and graduate with a  GPA along with a passing score of 300 on both the math and reading portions of the FCAT (Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test). Once these requirements are fulfilled, the students will be able to graduate and receive a high school diploma.

On the list we have presented to you above there are a few items that can be substituted, including the practical arts requirements, which can be satisfied with a computing or career course. In addition to that you could consider taking a vocational course if there is one offered nearby.

If you want to satisfy the fine arts requirement, you can do so by taking a drama or band class if your school offers one, and you may need to take a foreign language before you can be accepted to university depending upon your intentions. All Florida public universities will require at least two years of a foreign language before you can graduate, though most two year colleges do not require such for admission.

An Online Opportunity

graduation requirements

Earning credits for school has really never been easier, believe it or not. One of the best things about living in the modern world is the ability to make use of computers, and the ability to attend school online. Online schooling is a great innovation and is definitely something that you will want to start thinking about.

There are plenty of benefits to doing so, one being the ability for you to learn at your own pace rather than having your ‘pace’ dictated for you. In addition to that you’re going to be able to learn at a quality establishment whether you’re in the middle of the city or in the midst of a rural area that previously did not have access to great educational opportunities.

If you want to take advantage of an online school, all you’re going to need to do is make sure you have a good internet connection and a decent computer to maintain that connection throughout the course of your education. As you can see, there are some great opportunities available to you and like any American senior high school, we stick to the typical grading scheme to ensure that your education and your diploma is on par with the state requirements. It won’t be long before you’re ready to enter the work force with your new education.
